So now, let's begin

What is Formal Fashion?

In simple words, the types of clothes that you prefer to wear at your office which gives a formal, business look to you is called Formal Fashion. These also include those dresses which you would wear on business events, state dinners and official meetings.

There are some general clothing tips that are followed, I think, all around the world. Coats, blazers, pants, and buttoned shirts, these apparels are commonly used in office in both east and west of the world.

Formal fashion

Here is a list of Formal dressing that is used everyday.

Coat
Blazers
Pants
Pencil skirts
Buttoned shirts
Watches
High heels
Midi skirts,

The common colors that are mostly used in office wears are the following type.

Black
Shades of darker blue
Shades of grey
Brown
White
Teal, etc

How do we know that what makes a dress formal?

In most cases the type of tailoring, and length of the dress define the level of formality in the dress. Of course you cannot wear exposing or too sheer dresses in office. Only exception is of level of skirt you wear, you can wear medi skirts, and knee length skirt in office.
On the other hand you cannot wear crew necks, or hoodies in your office . But you can opt for turtle neck, and deep neck tops.

Bell bottom fashion

The dress type are a small list, but you can mix and match them to create a new outfit everyday. The aesthetic sense for your own self is the key element in making a good look. Below are some amazing combinations of dresses that you can use every day for your office looks.

1) Blazer, buttoned shirt, and pencil skirt

This is the first and most common type that almost every one likes to wear. It is elegant, fully formal, and at the same time classy.
You can choose from black, navy blue, and dark green shades for you skirt and blazer, and can choose some light color contrasting shirt with them.

With black you can go for white, cream, teal, and red colors.
With green you can go from white to lavender, and shades of light grey. With navy blue you can style your look with light blue, white, pink,.and off white shades.
It is not an obligation to have two color dress , you can make it one color too. Like you can go for while cream dress, cream color shirt, blazer, and skirt. However you should then use some sort of contrasting embellishments like different color buttons, or jewelry or your heels.

2) Dress Pants, Coat, and Sleeveless Shirt

This is the next very common and classy look for you every day office look. Pairing your black, mauve, lavender, and white dress shirts with black, dark purple, white, and shades of pink in bottom pants, these can give you the strong, and action women in your office.

You can make this look more elegant with a coat for either matching color with pants or same color as tops. However black is universal formal color and black coat can go with all the shades that you will select for formal dress.

3) Jeans, Crop top, and long coat/ formal coat

This type of combination gives you a bit of freedom in your dressing style. You can go for different types of jeans but not tempered, rough, or patchy jeans.

Under formal circumstances plain jeans or shaded jeans can be the best choice. Mom jeans, skinny fitted jeans, flared jeans or booted jeans, all such types of jeans goes for formal looks.

With these jeans you can select the type of crop top, either cowl neck, deep neck, thin strapped or vest style top are the best choices.

This dressing style can be used for days when their is no meetings with clients, or normal office overview. The casual look will make it easy to move around and be comfortable instead of being breath tight and losing dress elegance.

With this style you can wear sneakers, flat pumps, wedged or platform heels. However if there is sudden change of plans and a meeting arrives, you can change your shoes to heels, and you are fit to attend the meeting. Casual business look always make it an alpha female look i.e it shows strength and dominance over the clients.

4) Jeans,and pleated top

Here you can choose Flared jeans, Skin fit jeans, and Bottom Jeans. These jeans should not be tampered, rough or slit open. With these jeans you can select long pleated frock, or short waist length tops. These tops are mostly used in office meetings, like a presentation, directors briefing, head of department seminars, etc.

But for high profile meetings like owner's meeting, board of directors meeting, sponsor companies meetings, you can add a blazer with these tips or frock. Blazer have the tendency to merge with majority of formal dresses.

Dressing for Formal Events

For formal events I have some useful tips because combination can be much messy when it comes to every person's individuality. There for feel free to mix and match things according to what make you look representable. Remember in official gatherings you should be representable not just beautiful.

It only happens in dramas and serial that the heroin or the vamp of the drama looks the most beautiful women on earth. In reality you have to look representable.

Formal event dresses

1) Dresses for events that take place at night, should be dark colored can have some glittery effect, like the sequence shirt, or gown. But that must not be too much attention seeker or to much sparkling that it looks like a prom night dress.

2) Events in morning are vice versa you should select light color dresses like orange, light yellow, teal, cyan, light green, rose pink, tea pink etc. You can contrast them with black jeans , pants, medi skirts or things like that but wearing a knee length top is what makes a formal look more elegant.

3) Gowns are the preferable dress code in formal functions. They are easy to carry and give an elegant, rich look in the event making you the important person of the office. But gowns should not be rubbing along the floor too much like a bridal gown or wedding event gown but just to complete the look.

4) Embroidered dress like tail frock and tights, bell bottom  and open style short shirt. All these traditional dress gives the look of beauty. But these should not be too much embellished or full heavy embroidery designs dress. Just that much that they look elegant. Follow 'less is more' rule in formal events.

So now hope you all know how to look representable in your office and in the formal events of your office. And keep the look more color focused then embroidery focus, or fancywork.
