 Winters have the specialty of having a large variation in dressing styles. In summers you have shorts, sleeveless, or thin fabric clothes but in winters you have shirt, pants, tights, high necks, cardigans, poncho, jackets, coats, high boots, velvet, jersey, woolen scarfs, caps, coats, faux fur attire, etc. So we have a huge variety to care for and shop for.

Today here we are going to talk about coats  and especially those which can be worn on winter functions. In subcontinent marriage ceremonies are held in winter season, and most parties around the world take place in this season. There is christmas, new year parties and bon fire parties, then there are bar.b que parties, all these are winter fun time. Hence we all need some good and elegant dressing style which can keep us warm and make us the most prominent and versatile in our out look. 

One of the best thing is coat, in winters it is the best choice for outdoor events and attending functions whether formal or informal. Coats are sleek in design, and keep our posture more beautiful. The best thing about coats is that these gives a smarter look to plus sized people. Jackets, and woolen sweaters make the look more heavy and bulkier. These are large collar, full covering, loose fitted coats. These , as the name suggest, are like wrapping you up with the belt to tie on waist. These are informal type of coats and are made of considerable thick fabric. These are worn as over coats too. 

Large collars spread all over your shoulder and give a beautiful effect for some bone fire or friends get-together.  These coats are found in two lengths, long and short . You can opt the one that suits your style. Or according to the function you are attending, or the temperature outside. Definitely long coats are good for snowy weather and minus degree temperatures. However short coats can be better for indoor events.

These coats are bit expensive but very stylish in their manner and if you want a rich stylish look for any occasion this is a must choice.

2) Duffle coat

Duffle coats are such types of coats that completely pack you up and are almost fitted to your body shape. These have large buckles or toggles along with a zip beneath it to complete hug you and keep you safe from winter cold. 

These are highly recommend for hiking and skating. As these coats are body fitted and you don't have to adjust them while enjoying your winter outdoor sport. Also it just become your own body and give you a comfortable fun plus give you foolproof security from winter, chilling winds and snow. 

This is one of the most common type of coat for children too as these coats have a good protection from winter, and are made up of heavy thick fabric.

3) Trench coats

These are the most common type of coats that are a must in your wardrobe. These coats are all fashion and all types of winters friendly. I mean that it can be worn in snowy winters, tropical foggy winters, dry winter areas, rainy winters. In all types of winters, these coats are the most demanding and recommended. 

The major benefit of these coats is that they fit every type of person despite their age, color, figure and region. That is why these trench coats are easily available all around the globe. 

These coats have two types single breasted and double breasted. These are also types of long coats that give full protection from winter chilling weather. Trench coats are sleekest in design and therefore can be counted as formal fashion. Trench coat comes in various variates and lengths. Many time only trench coat with long boots make a beat look and reflect elegance.

4) Over coats

Over coats, as by name are worn over your party dress or already thick winter dress like woolen sweaters, high neck or any other of your dress that don't require a coat or jacket but just a safety from winter winds outside.

Over coats are loose fitting, and huge in their size. It is like an obligation in any type of wardrobe because these are required to travel in snow fall, or rain fall in winters. Due to their thick fabric these coats keep inner wears all dry and you can take them off when you reach your destination with complete dry and beautiful look inside this over coat.

5) Blazers

Blazers are the formal type of coats that are usually worn for official events like board of directors meeting, some official dinner or presentation day,etc.

These are not long coat in length and neither they are too thick in their fabric. These are short up till wast for stylish look and Tull thigh lengths for complete formal look. These coats can be made from thicker material from inside, faux fur, velvet, or cashmere so that these can be purely worn in low temperatures.

Blazers are just cool and very sleek in their look. But you can style them with casual jeans and high necks too for office parties and client meetings. They look elegant and rich in style. Blazers is one of my favorite coats and we all see kids wearing them as uniform makes them so adorable and disciplined.

6) Asymmetrical coats

These are my personal favorite type of coats because they cover both formal and informal occasion and are not just short but are found in long coats too. Asymmetrical coats have the most funky look, and at the same time most elegant look.

These coats have both zip and buttons to close it which is not in center but any where, right or left. Also these coats have the asymmetrical collars other than just high collar or cowl collar. 

7) Double breasted coats

These are found in different types. You have 

• Double breasted trench coat
• Double breasted blazer
• Double breasted over coats
• Double breasted wrap coats.

This means that double breasted are found in any type of coat. but basically it is medium length coat with deep neck style like blazer and double buttons to give full coverage from chilling weather.
