In Asia, and middle east, tea is very common and very heavily consumed drink. After every meal, in evening and especially in breakfast tea is most important. I, myself, cannot think breakfast without tea, as I don't eat eggs so tea is must, and even if I have some heavy local breakfast like Naan Channay, Halwa puri, or Paye. ( Pakistani breakfast).. Still after them a cup of milk tea is very important.

So let's begin and see what type of teas are common , and their health benefits for us.

1) Black tea

Black tea

Black tea , as by the name, is just the tea leaves boiled in water for some, 15 minutes and then drained and drink in small portions. There are many different types of tea leaves that are used according to the availability in different regions.

This tea is high in it's flavour, and is concentrated therefore it is consumed in small portions.

A study over a group of  hundred people suggest that consuming 3 cups of black tea a day not only reduces weight, but also gives alertness, and keeps the immunity system stronger then those who don't drink black tea even a single cup. It is found that black tea is very useful in reducing waist size and belly fat better than any other weight loss drink.

Apart from reducing weight, it is also helpful in brightening the skin, some studies have seen fair complexion results by the usage of black tea. Also it helps in maintaining the eyes and skin around eyes, like puffiness, and dark circles.

It is not highly saturated in terms of caffeine, however it has half the quantity of caffeine found in one cup of black coffee.

2) Ice tea

Ice tea

Well in simple words, the cold version of black tea and green tea is ice tea. But it is more like detox water. It is a blessing for summers as warm tea increases body heat, so ice tea in the other hand fulfils crave for tea and does not increase body heat.

It is yet not so common in south Asian countries but in other tropical countries where climate is already warm, and in summers there are record breaking heat waves this tea is just a blessing. Due to heat in summers and excessive perspiration our bone density reduces making it weaker, but having iced black tea can reverse the damage done by perspiration and reduces the risk of osteoporosis.

Ice tea can be made by any of the tea herbs boiled in water and then cooled and poured over ice making it ice tea and a cool drink in summers. As a result it reduces stress that begins with oxidation , and neutralize free radicals that cause oxidation process in our body. Ice tea also prevent tissue inflammation that possibly begins in summer seasons and hot weather.

3) Green tea

Green tea is the most useful type of tea that is not only used of refreshment but also for any medical issues and for herbal remedies. Many skin issues are addressed by consuming green tea and in many studies immunity system becomes stronger than before the usage of green tea.

Green tea

In words of Czerwony, " Green tea is champ when it comes to offering health benefits" . " It's Swiss Army knife of teas".

So this is very clear, in terms of health benefits and medical usage, green tea is on top of the list. It is saturated by polyphenols and antioxidants which are very helpful in boosting our brain power and increases heart health.

The biggest reason for it to be so healthy is that it does not go under oxidation processes and is therefore called true tea. In other teas, a complete oxidation process is done on leaves so as to make them useful for consumption. But green tea does not undergo such processes and hence it is very much tree-to-your-cup tea.

Counting it's benefits green tea is useful for many liver issues, including hepatitis, liver fats, cirrhosis etc. Along with that this green tea is very much important for the digestive track, and for the overall health of our gut, intestines, liver, stomach, and all the enzymes found in our abdominal cavity. Also it is very helpful for strength of immunity system and weight loss process of our body as it reduces fat deposits in our body, around the organs and under the skin.

4) Herbal tea.

Herbal tea

Well green tea is made from leaves, but herbal tea is made from different herbs too like cinnamon, black cardamon, green cardamon, cloves, star anise, ginger, lemon etc.

Therefore herbal is also one type of medication that is used in different ways from very old times when highly formulated medicine were not yet discovered. In many places sin history we have found ginger tea for constipation relief and is still used in south Asia for this purpose. Masala tea is used in winters to prevent the cold chilling effect of winter.

It is most flexible tea in terms of it's ingredients as you can use many types of spices, flower, tree bark etc.

5) Milk tea

Milk tea

My person favorite, is mostly used to give the effect of fullness after lunch, or dinner. This is the reason it mostly consumed atleast an hour later then meal so that if you have kept your hunger while eating and again feel some crave of eating, milk tea is the remedy.

But it must not be confused by weight loss. As there is milk added to the tea, this makes it with-calories tea. As milk has its own calories. But there are other benefits of this tea, such as it helps is brain focusing and alertness. In some studies even decline in Alzheimer's disease is found in the participants.

Brown tea

Milk has its own benefits apart from calories, such as it helps in reducing heart issues, like stroke, cardiovascular health, and chest pain. Also milk is useful in reducing aging effects like wrinkles, and blemishes. So when milk is added to tea it adds it's benefits to the already health of tea making it beneficial for human systems in it's body.

So here are the most common and fill of health teas available on our planet and all the regions of this world.
