Contour

Basically contouring  is a technic  to enhance your facial features that give you a look more boney. You all have seen the light and darker shades of contour. Darker shades are used to bring the bone structure more prominence and lighter shade is used to make your face look more sculpted.

Concealer

Concealer is the thing that conceals. It conceals all the natural dark shades in our face. In short all the uneven things for which we require makeup are concealed through a concealer and then it  makes a base for all the other things like foundation and eye shades etc.

Concealer 

Here we are and all the wait is over. Let's start with concealer first. Because it is the first thing you should apply after primer.

Concealer must be used at first most layer after primer. (Before primer and all the skin preps are kept out because they are not the topic here). You should apply it all around your dark circles and around the nose and around the lips if you have darkness or dullness  and yes all the acne blemish on your face. 

Concealer is the best technic to give an even base for your foundation and contour. If you have uneven skin tone and without using concealer you directly apply foundation and contour, the whole look will become weirdly light and dark without giving a beauty to your face. 

Concealer is also very important for any acne blemishes on your face, because it hides all the redness and the peek outs in the skin. 

Concealer can also be used for even look. Every day we don't have to wear too much of makeup, the biggest reason to put on makeup is to make sure our skin looks even toned and sculpted.

Contour

Contour is a technic to enhance the bone structure of our face. It done by two tone darker shade of our skin of either foundation, concealer, or bronzer. Yes to make it clear contour is a technic and contourer is a makeup item that is used for contouring.

But if you do not have specific contourer,then all you can use to prominent you face features is a bronzer, that  can also deal with this problem.( I myself still use bronzer as contourer). Or your can use your foundation two tones darker than your skin. Or you can use a non colored, two tones darker concealer. 

For beginners, powder contour is a better choice because you will be able to adjust it in the correct place with compact or loose powder, and can easily blend it with the foundation. But for those who have a good hand on applying and mixing of makeup, they can use the liquid or stick contourer.

How to apply?

Well for this part your information about your face is very important. All of us know that there are different types of faces, oval, square, heart, circular, etc. So you have to apply the contourer according to the bones in your face . 

Basically the technic is used mainly to enhance your cheek bones to look skinny or sculpted. Therefore the most important part to apply the contourer is under your cheek bone.

Suck in your cheeks and the features that become prominent is your under cheek area, that is where you have to apply the your contourer. 

Next apply it on the nose bone, if you have a flat nose then you should apply two lines parallel with the least distance in between on the nose bone. But if you already have a thin and boney nose then just go with the natural bone structure and apply two parallel lines on the nose with the natural distance you already have. Then blend in with foundation and remember to apply a highlighter below and between these two parallel lines of contour. 

After this you basic contouring is done if you are a beginner then this is enough  but if you want more of your sculpted face, then apply the contourer on your jaw lines, exactly on your jaw lines not above it and not below it start from back near the neck and end from wear you chin begins. This will give you more skinny look and will hide your double chin too. 

Now all that is left is your forehead. Here you will apply not to prominent your bones but to give a natural shade to your skin. You will just apply it, a little of contourer, in the top middle and on the top side corners of your forehead. It will give you a natural shade on the forehead and will hide any missing or uneven foundation that usually happens due to hairs.
