Strawberries: the factory of nutrients by mother nature
Strawberries also scientifically named as Fragaria Ananassa. These are types of berries and a summer fruit. Bright red color, triangular fruit is full of healthy nutrients.
Either you want to eat it for your glowing skin or you want to take care of your blood hb level, this fruit is just what you need.
Strawberries are high in carbs, water, potassium, fiber and folate which are some of the most essential nutrients for your body. These red little fruits are packet of nutrients for everyday use of our body.
So come let's see what these elements have for us.
- Water:
Our body consist of 70% water and when summer arrives perspiration level increases which leads to dehydration. As we all know strawberries are summer fruit and they are almost 90% water, so these help to hydrate our body in summers. Strawberries help to maintain our body hydration, and keeps aur skin and organs from drying which in extreme cases can be dangerous for our lives.
- Carbohydrates
Carbohydrates are the instant source of energy. Strawberries contain carbohydrates so they are a source of energy for our body. Carbohydrates also known as carbs help to provide energy to our brain, kidneys,liver and other important organs of our body. These are easily stored in our body to provide fuel for our daily routine works. Deficiency of these can lead to weakness, fatigue, nausea, headache and all those common summer issues which we face while working outdoors.
So if a considerable amount of strawberries are added to our daily food we can overcome the issues of energy in our body.
- Fiber
It us also a type of carbohydrates but have other benefits besides the benefits of carbohydrates originally. These help in maintaining our digestive system and all the digestive problems are addressed by fibers.
Fibers are mostly found in fruits and vegetables. So these are also available in strawberries. If we use strawberries as the source of fibers we can address the problems of heart, it is helpful in fight against diabetes, and in some cases cancer is also prevented.
- Potassium
Strawberries also contain potassium which is an essential mineral for our body. But our body cannot store potassium like carbohydrates so we need a daily intake of potassium for our body.
It is an electrolyte , it helps in generating impulses around our body. As we all know our senses work on impulses generated from outer source. Deficiency of potassium can effect our nervous system. However it's daily intake can prevent a number of diseases such as blood pressure, nerve impulses, muscle contraction, pH balance etc.
- Vitamin c
Strawberries are a good source of vitamins for our body. As I have mentioned before our body cannot store minerals, and vitamins are part of minerals. Vitamin c is very essential for our skin as it is good to maintain collagen in our skin. As we grow old the collagen level reduces and we get wrinkles.
So if you use strawberries which are source of vitamin C can help maintain collagen in our skin. As a result our skin will have lesser wrinkles and will look younger for a longer time. It also prevent cardio issues of our body. So grab on these strawberries so that you look younger than your age and wrinkles free.
- Folate
Also known as vitamin B-9 is very important for our blood cell formation. As I have mentioned before strawberries help maintain our hb level. So this folate is the reason to bring our hb level up.
For pregnancy it is a very essential to have strawberries because it prevents brain defects and spin defects by birth of fetus.
Folate is also helpful in cardiovascular diseases and other issues related to the working and maintaining of heart.
So if you want your heart, nervous system, and skin in perfect condition then strawberries are very useful. Not only these organ diseases but it also helps prevent some types of cancers . Mother nature have blessed us with this fruit so we can bring the beauty from inside out, energy from inside out and not from fabrication.
Now the question is, everyday simply eating strawberries can become boring after some days, so how can we make it part of our daily intake but also enjoy the taste and avail all the benefits?
So I have listed some very common strawberries dishes which are made all around the world and hence you can have strawberries everyday.
Strawberry milkshake.
It is the the most common type of intake of strawberries. Every morning in breakfast, after workout, in the evening, any time you can have the tasty milkshake.
Strawberry pie.
It is very common type of pie in the pie world. Apple pie strawberry pie are the most frequently made desserts around the world.
Strawberry ice cream
You scream, we scream for ice cream especially in summers and what can be good than yummy strawberry ice cream. Either you can make it at home by blending strawberries in little milk and then adding condensed milk and freezing in ice cream tray. A yummy dessert for kids and adults together. Or you can buy it from market.
Strawberry detox water
It is very good for skin and digestive tract. One to two glass of strawberry detox water will hydrate, glow , and maintain your skin, stomach and nerves.
Strawberry cake
Another yummy dessert in summers. At tea time or in the breakfast the strawberry cake can make your day and fulfill all the requirements of your body through out the day.
